C1900 sterling silver berry fork made for Daniel Low & Co. by Durgin. This lovely fork measures 5" long and is decorated with a raised pattern of strawberries. According to Dorothy T. Rainwater's book "American Jewelry Manufacturers", the Daniel Low Company was established in Salem Mass. in 1867, and they began as a little jewelry shop. The back of the fork has the early Durgin mark (1898-1905) and is also marked "Sterling Daniel Low & Co".
