Original color cover from the May 1934 issue of Fortune Magazine in the Art Deco style. This cover was designed by F. V. Carpenter and features an antique airplane. It is in very good/fair condition with some soiling and one scrape that could easily be touched up. It has no deep creases, tears, water damage, or chipping. The original Fortune magazine covers were printed using the gravure process on heavy paper. It gave the magazine the classy and special look that got subscribers to part with the $1.00 cover price in the middle of the depression. This particular cover would look great framed in any pilots or flyers office. These covers are truly a work of art, collectible and collected.
