Signed "Skinger STERLING" American modernist brooch or pin. This piece measures 1 1/4" by 1" and is in excellent condition. It has a biomorphic design that evokes a fish and uses mixed metals (the "eye" appears to be bronze). Joseph A. Skinger was born in Worcester, MA on March 16, 1911 and died in 1967. A successful and well known designer and craftsman in hand wrought silver jewelry.
