I don't really know what the designers at Sarah Coventry had in mind for these earring, but I would say that the inspiration was the opal gemstone. The faux stones certainly have an opalascent quality. The metal is gold tone and clear rhinestones also accent the clip earring. They are marked © Sarah Cov and in excellent condition.
