 
Vintage Whiting Davis Sterling Silver Spider and Web Brooch - Pre 1915
 Very large Whiting Davis spider in web brooch made of sterling silver. At 3 1/2" wide by 2" tall no one is going to overlook this pin. It is marked W. & D. sterling. According to Dorothy Rainwater's book, American Jewelry Manufacturers, Whiting Davis stoped using this mark before 1915. Condition is near mint, but the original C clasp has been replaced with a safety clasp.
